Alessandro ConteItalian Attorney
Alessandro Conte is an Italian attorney, certified by the Florida Bar as a Foreign Legal Consultant.
Mr. Conte joined Fleitas PLLC in September of 2019. Prior to joining Fleitas PLLC, Mr. Conte attended University Federico II, College of Law, in Naples, Italy, where he earned a Laurea in Dottore in Giurisprudenza in 2003. Between 2003 and 2015, Mr. Conte’s practice areas included corporate, administrative, criminal, real estate, and family law cases. Thereafter, Mr. Conte decided to move to the United States and pursue an LL.M degree at Florida International University, College of Law, where he earned his LL.M. degree for Foreign Lawyers in May of 2016.
After completing his LL.M., Mr. Conte worked for Davies & Associates as the Chair of the firm’s Italy practice team, where he exclusively worked with Italian clients, and assisted US attorneys in processing US Immigration business related visas.
At Fleitas, Mr. Conte focuses on representing clients from all over the world, who have Italian ancestors and seek to obtain Italian citizenship through their ancestors (“Jure Sanguinis”). Additionally, Mr. Conte assists clients with: (1) citizenship applications based on “Jure Matrimoni”; (2) “Reacquisitions of Italian Cirizenship”; (3) “Naturalization to a foreign country after August 16, 1992”: (4) “Renounci[ations] of Italian Citizenship”; (5) obtaining all types of Italian visas; and (6) “Permesso di Soggiorno” (residency permit).
Moreover, Mr. Conte has acquired a unique experience in assisting Italian clients with the Treaty Transfer Program, which is an implementation of Public Law 95-144 (18 USC 4100 et seq.). The Program authorizes the Director of the Bureau of Prisons to transfer inmates to or from foreign countries, pursuant to the conditions of the Treaty agreement which allows for such transfers. Because Italy is one of the several countries which participate in the Treaty Transfer Program with the United States, Mr. Conte is able to represent clients in the necessary processes and procedures to effectuate these kinds of transfers, in conjunction with Italian authorities.
